By: Meghan March

Synopsis

From USA Today bestselling author Meghan March comes a hot new standalone second chance romance.

We fell in love on a beach, got married in paradise, and rode off into the sunset. It should have been perfect, but saying “I do” doesn’t guarantee a happily-ever-after.
Two years later, I barely recognize either of us behind the walls we’ve built.
It’s time to bring it full circle. Back to a tropical paradise. Back to find out if we can still make this work.
I’m not willing to give her up, but to save us, I have to risk everything.
Two damaged people.
Countless secrets.
The fight of our lives.
We might be broken, but we’re not done.

My Review:

OH MY LANTA!!
Have you ever read a book that after reading it you don't know what to do with your life. What is the point anymore?! (LOL)
Well that's how I felt after finishing Take Me Back. I mean I am totally speechless.
Ms. Meghan DID IT AGAIN!! She wrote yet another amazing book. :-)
I swear each book she writes is even more amazing than the first.
And let me tell you TMB was one H-O-T book. (Runs and fans myself)
This is one of those books that has you jumping up and down with excitement while reading it.
You go from Hot Damn to Oh SH!T, did that just happen!?

This is one of those books that makes you FEEL EVERYTHING.
From shock, love, lust to fear. Meghan packs everything into this book.
She does an amazing job of making the reader feel what the characters feel.
I felt as if I was experiencing what they were feeling.
And some of the the crap they went through, I would NOT want to experience.
Because sh!t got REAL!

And let me tell you that the Kate and Dane are EVERYTHING.
They are so REAL and RAW. That at times you want to jump through the book and hug them..
(Not in a creepy way)

I loved Kat. At times I could see a lot of myself in her. She is a fiercely independent, go-getting and hard working woman! And when she puts her mind to something, nothing can change it.

And OH MY DANE.
I really did want to jump through the book and kidnap you and stow you away for safe keeping.
You are every womans fantasy.
You are 100 percent ALPHA!

All and all I absolutely ADORED this book.
Take Me Back was by far Meghan's BEST book yet!!
Highly recommend to anyone who loves a hot romance with one hell of a ride.

About this AMAZING Author:

A USA Today bestselling author of over fifteen novels, Meghan March has been known to wear camo face paint and tromp around in woods wearing mud-covered boots, all while sporting a perfect manicure. She’s also impulsive, easily entertained, and absolutely unapologetic about the fact that she loves to read and write smut. Her past lives include slinging auto parts, selling lingerie, making custom jewelry, and practicing corporate law. Writing books about dirty talking alpha males and the strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees is by far the most fabulous job she’s ever had.

My Review:

Let me just tell you rarely does a book really leave me absolutely speechless. *GASP, SILENCE*
Well that's exactly what The Evolution of Ivy: Poison did. It left me wondering what the hell just happened?! And the fact that it was Miss Lauren's first book, is what makes it so much more astonishing.
Not only was it written like a professional but it was unlike anything I have ever read before.
And the fact that she wrote it in 3 weeks, I mean WHAT!? How did she even breathe let alone write.

Lauren really makes you love a character that the reader should hate.
But oh how I loved the crazy af, Ivy. She was unlike any heroine I have ever read.
And the thing I loved most about her was her was her brutal honesty. She was not afraid to be a b!tch, selfish or conniving. She hides nothing from the reader.

And boy does she do some crazy sh!t.
Some crazy stuff that is hard to read but somehow you can't stop.
From the first page you are drawn into the crazy world of Ivy.

I read this in one sitting, I was glued to the pages which are full of deception, crazy sh!t and surprises that will leave you crying on the floor wondering what just happened.

Lauren, you absolutely blew me away.
Not only was The Evolution of Ivy: Poison well written but it was unique.
And the most amazing thing was that this was your debut novel.
Kudos, to you!
I cannot wait to read the second one, hurry up! I NEED IT! :)

Highly recommend this to anyone who loves a book full of twists and turns that you will not expect.
This is not your mothers cookie cutter romance book.

About the Author:

Lauren Campbell lives in Atlanta, GA, with her family, and is author of The Evolution of Ivy: Poison.

She was raised in Columbia, SC, with her three sisters who annoy her greatly.

An avid reader since early childhood, Lauren discovered her love for writing several years into owning a successful newborn photography business. After reaching out to author Colleen Hoover in 2013 for advice, Lauren painstakingly pieced together a heap of garbage loosely based on her personal life that she decided to trash. After one year of being on hiatus, Lauren subsequently came up with the idea for Poison after being inspired by a photo on the internet. She wrote Poison in three weeks. It is not a heap of garbage, has no personal ties, and is filled with characters Lauren cares more for than some of the real people in her life. But don't tell anyone that.

Lauren's social life is pretty boring, but she loves reading, coffee & hot tea, and living in her pajamas. She's a glutton for punishment, and regrettably signs up for things like Room Mom in her children's classes, leaving her up all night doing things like baking dozens of cookies between swear words. Her favorite food is avocado. If she could, she'd find a way to put it on everything.

Lauren is done writing in third person now. (I'm lame, I know.)
